On Friendship.

Taken entirely from some random chain email.

There are three types of friends: those like food, without which you can't live; those like medicine, which you need occasionally; and those like an illness, which you never want.

Too late we learn, a man must hold his friend. Unjudged, accepted, trusted to the end"
- John Boyle O'Reilly

Never explain - True friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe you anyway.

The joy of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship. It is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him"

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious, it is the true source of art, science and friendship.
-Albert Einstein

I like the last one best.
How about you?
