Oktober Is Here.

My muscleache days are back.
Apparently my hamstrings, glutes, quadriceps and blah aren't strong enough.
And I just earned enough to fund my 2nd session of rehab after 2 months.
Just after my first session, where my trainer said he will make my muscles SWELL.
I found (& still find) myself gripping the railings so tightly, to assist myself up & down the stairs.
=S

Since it's so darn expensive, I WILL & I MUST faithly head down for rehab daily.
It also just made me more motivated to hit my targets, it just effectively burnt off my money for the rest of the month.
Do let me know should you have any relief remedies for muscleaches. =D

PMS has made me a very impatient & fustrated individual.
I was scheduled work on a Saturday.
I swear I ate my boss up, in my mind that is. -.-
Sorry Amanda & Mei Mei, I couldn't go on Fri. =/

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. 27 Dresses. G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. Transporter. Monsters VS Aliens. Final Destination. The Happening. Up. Step Up 2. The Proposal. Jumper. The Time Traveler's Wife. The Ugly Truth. Surrogates. Darah. Funny People. =)

Baa. My mum threw away the yellow gerbera I bought.

Finding Tempo.

As some might already know, I've started on my rehab just this Monday.
It's gonna be a everyday thing for a good 3 weeks.

The 1st few days had been really tough, I wanted the trainer to push me hard, so I can go back to the game fast.
Muscleaches would be with me for the next 18 days at least.
You might not realise, playing netball for me is not a chore but a passion.
It has kept me focused, taught me life's lessons and kept me motivated.

It's been slightly more than a year since my surgery last June.
And I'm really thankful for those who showed encouragement & support during time.
People who have urged me to go for rehab, so they can see me in action again, to fight as a team again. Thank you, it kept me going from my crutches to just my knee brace then to be able to walk properly again.

It's really heartwarming, when each and every one of you who cheered me on, who bothered to ask how I am doing.
I hope I'll be able to return to the game soon.
Steve (my trainer) said I can join tomorrow's club training.
But just with forward running movements.
I'm happy enough for now.
Step by step, I'm sure I can get there soon =)

I'm coaching NUS netball for a tournament that starts in less than a week.
The Scarlette has launched The Little Black Book online this week.
Tired, but I'm still finding the tempo.

Knee Updates!

Knee Bending Range: 150deg (L), 155deg (R)

YAYNESS! 5 more deg to full range.
But my quads are still not strong enough.

OHOH! I asked my physiotherapist(s) if I could be off brace.

Me: Hey, do you think I can be off brace already?
Sharon: Can you lock your knee and hold?
Me: Yep.
Sharon: How's the ligament test?
Me: Just 0.5 lag.
Sharon: Can you do half-squats and lunges?
-proceeds to show her that I can-
Sharon: hmm, can you stand on one finger?
-_-"

HAHA.
So, I'm off brace, but am advised to be very very careful. LOL

Trip to IKEA

Met up with Esther today after Biodex test. We went shopping at IKEA!

I love the Audrey Hepburn picture!

Why do I have to buy a blue one when it's the yellow one that I like?

I sat at the seat for the disabled. And no, noone gave up their seat, it happened to be empty.

Biodex Test 1

I overslept. Or rather, I woke up at the appointment time. HAHA.

It was Biodex test for my knee today.
Not good.

Isometric Bilateral protocol, Extension/Flexion pattern, that's what I was tested for.
I was strapped to the machine and was supposed to push my leg upwards as forcefully as possible, in 3 sets of 5 seconds and 5 seconds rest in between.

So, Sheik (another physiotherapist) was screaming "PUSH, PUSH, PUUSSSSHHHHH, PPPUUUUUUSSSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!"
Mind you, the doors were closed. So, after that, Sheila came in laughing, "Sheik, what are you doing, screaming? people outside are laughing"
HAHA.

oh well, "passing grade" is 30% deficit.
I got a 45.8% deficit. :(

Long Day, Short Night*

Yesterday, I just had the exact opposite.

Today, I'll be heading to bed after this post. Had spent the whole night trying to fix the HTML. So far so good. I'm still trying to figure out the px for the photo upload in the widget.

Baa~ Physio at 2pm later. I better not oversleep. =X

Oh, and in 17 minutes, the water supply will be cut off. This time, the town council decides to replace water mains, which is gonna last from 9am to 5pm. The last time they cut off my water was to replace the meter.

Now, I have basins & buckets of water lying around in the bathroom.

*Nights for now.
